The 2025 Combined City/School Election will be held Tuesday November 4th from 7am to 8pm. Please see below for specific information regarding this election. For specific information on the City of Davenport elections, which uses a Primary system, see the Davenport City Primary page.
City/School elections in Iowa are NON-PARTISAN. This means party affiliation is not asked for or required to be provided by candidates.
Pre-Registration deadline for voter registration closes at 5:00pm Monday, October 20. Persons wishing to participate in this election who register to vote after October 20 will be required to provide proof of identification (i.e. current and valid photo identification card with an expiration date), AND proof of residency in their voting precinct, when they go to the polls on election day, or when they request an absentee ballot in-person. Other provisions may also apply. Persons not registered to vote by October 20, should expect a longer processing time at the polls on election day.
Absentee Ballots will be available beginning Wednesday, October 15, for mail and in-person voting. Download the absentee ballot request form here.
All domestic absentee ballots must be received by 8:00pm on Election Day to be considered on time to be counted. Postmarks no longer are acceptable.
Satellite voting will be available at the following times and dates:
Early voting will be available on business days from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Scott County Auditor's Office, 600 West Fourth Street, Davenport on the 5th floor beginning on October 15th through November 3rd.

Candidate filing for the City/School election begins on Monday, August 25th and lasts until Thursday September 18th at 5 pm. You will file your paperwork with the appropriate City Clerk or School Board Secretary, NOT the Auditor's Office. For further information you may call the Auditor's office at 563-526-8631.
