City/School Election
School and City Elections are combined and held in November of odd-numbered years. A City election is used to elect the Mayor and Council Members and any other elected city officials. A School Election is an election to select School Board members within the district.

For affidavits of candidacy and nomination petition paperwork, please visit the Secretary of State's Candidate Website for the correct eleciton type (City or School) in order to ensure you have the most up-to-date and correct forms.
Candidate filing for the City/School election begins on Monday, August 25th and lasts until Thursday September 18th at 5 pm. You will file your paperwork with the appropriate City Clerk or School Board Secretary, NOT the Auditor's Office. For further information you may call the Auditor's office at 563-526-8631.
